INTRO

‘I will even make a way where there seems to be no way, a highway to dwell on….’

There are many different pathways we can walk on in life. All of these pathways are different., they can
be narrow and winding, made of dirt, rough and hard to walk on, wide and paved, or large, straight
and easy to make fast progress on.  The state and condition of the road determines the type and
amount of traffic it can carry.

The pathways of our lives speak about our thoughts, attitudes, emotions, ministry, family  dynamics
and relationships with others. Our lives can be a narrow pathway or a superhighway for the purposes
of God.  It is up to us to choose what we will allow God to do in our life, and how much of his presence
and power can dwell in us, this will be then be reflected in the type of pathway our lives become.

The state of our personal pathways determines the degree of the glory of God that can be revealed in
and through us, and also how much of His Kingdom we can access. Clean and healthy pathways in
our lives will allow us to be fully revealed and established as His sons and daughters, walking in the
fullness of the authority he has given us.

Sometimes our pathways are cluttered with rubbish and  sometimes there are road works going on
because the pathways have been broken down by much use.  As we continue to seek the kingdom of
God, putting his will first in our life, our pathways will be restored and become highways. The valleys,
or low places of our lives, will come up and the mountains, the things that seem impossible, will
come down and a highway will be built for the glory of God.                                        Isaiah 40:3&4

When the pathways are fully restored, they become that highway for the glory of God.  Within that glory
[God’s manifest presence], is contained all that we need both for our own life and the lives of those
we touch.

Corporately, we His church, then become a ‘highway for our God’.  His plans and purposes can then
be manifested in the earth, making way for the return of Jesus.
God is preparing his bride for his return, he won’t come until she is ready, and the wedding
preparations all depend upon the readiness of the bride. The wedding cannot proceed until she is
ready.
There is a pathway prepared for every bride, sometimes this includes a red carpet to walk on,
sometimes flowers are strewn along the way. Dirt and other obstacles are cleared off the pathway
she will walk upon so that her dress will not be defiled. Even so, God now makes a pathway for his
bride to walk upon.
John the Baptist made way for the first coming of Jesus, the Messiah.  One man was a voice crying in
the wilderness, ‘Make way for the Lord’.  Now there are thousands of Christians who, by their lives
and their voices, can be the voice of a prophet making way for the purposes of God in the
earth.                                Isaiah 40:3

So a highway was created for Jesus to walk on in the earth, and as we continue to follow Jesus we
can also make our lives a highway for his current  purposes.
There is also a final highway that will be created and that is the eternal highway that will allow God’s
people to walk into and dwell in his presence for all eternity. This highway will also be a highway of
holiness upon which the blind and the lame can walk with ease, no longer affected by their afflictions,
uncleanness shall not walk upon it and it shall be easy for even those who would normally stumble,
there will be no dangerous beasts upon it, lives will not be destroyed by the enemy on this pathway,
but God’s people, those he has ransomed and redeemed shall walk upon it with singing, everlasting
joy and gladness. There shall be no more sorrow upon this highway.                                                Isa 35:
